Enrichment Program

Our enrichment program for Wilbur Avenue Elementary families offers a dynamic and engaging selection of classes designed to foster creativity, build essential life skills, and ensure every child has a blast. Students can dive into the world of science with our Chemistry class, learn to play beautiful music in Piano lessons, or express themselves through Art and Sewing. Our Group Voice class helps students find their voice, while Cupcake Wars adds a dash of fun to the mix. For those interested in exploring nature, Marine Biology opens up the wonders of the ocean, and for active minds and bodies, Soccer, LEGO building, and Chess offer exciting challenges. Each class is crafted to promote communication, collaboration, and critical thinking in a fun and supportive environment. It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s—Superhero Science! Get ready to unleash your inner superhero in this action-packed science adventure. Have you ever wondered what powers Spider-Man shares with real spiders or which of Batman’s high-tech gadgets exist? Grab your cape and join us for an exciting exploration of superpowers in the real world! In this hands-on class, students will fly high as they create and test flying contraptions, discover animal superpowers by meeting creatures that share abilities with Superman, and climb and crawl like Spider-Man through a superhero obstacle course. They’ll also get creative and design their very own superhero costume to take home. Prepare for an unforgettable journey where science and imagination collide—up, up, and away! $200

An introduction to piano lessons with basic playing skills for beginner piano students! We will cover note reading, piano keys, finger numbers, music for right hand or left hand alone, counting beats, and music for two-hands. Students will learn music terms and rhythms through games. $200

Calling all young cake artists! Inspired by the hit TV show Cake Boss on Food Network, this class is all about turning ordinary cakes into edible works of art! While we won’t be baking, we’ll dive straight into the fun—decorating freshly prepared cakes and cupcakes with creative, colorful designs. From sparkling winter wonderland cakes to sweet Valentine’s Day treats, lucky St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes, and bright, blooming spring creations for Easter, every class is a new celebration! With fun themes, easy techniques, and endless decorations, it’s the most delicious way to unleash your creativity and become a cake-decorating star! $225

This after-school music program will dive into a broad range of subjects to offer the children a well-rounded knowledge of music. We will cover the basics of music theory, ear training, sight reading, and rhythm training by incorporating fun games and familiar songs to help memory. The students will be encouraged to sing in genres that range from classical to popular music to get familiar with music analysis. With both theory and singing training we will be using Solfege games to meld the two together. $225

Welcome to the Science Factory campus of Hogwarts, muggles! Step into the magical world of Harry Potter and uncover the science behind the spells. In this enchanting class, young witches and wizards will learn to cast charms that make objects levitate and move without touching them, brew bubbling and foaming potions, and explore herbology to discover real plants that eat insects. Students will experiment with color-changing liquids, create glowing slime, and design their own magical wands. They'll also unlock the secrets of invisibility, experiment with dry ice to create smoky effects, and learn the chemistry behind dragon's breath and explosive reactions. Through hands-on experiments and interactive activities, this spellbinding adventure blends science and magic into an unforgettable experience at Hogwarts! $225

Super Soccer Stars teaches soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive and educational environment. Through an age-specific curriculum, soccer is used to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork skills. LEGO : Make It & Take It, you’ll unleash your creativity and build your dream creations. Explore patterns, colors, and shapes as you design everything from a spaceship to a working zipline and an exciting marble maze. You’ll also have the chance to craft your favorite Car, Spaceship, Volcano, Minecraft Tool and Much More! This camp is all about hands-on fun, combining creativity with problem-solving to create one-of-a-kind LEGO masterpieces. Build it, play with it, and take it home to enjoy it forever! $225

We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand. Children participating in our program: Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Have better concentration and mental discipline; Gain confidence and have lots of FUN!!! All students in our chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship and participate in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the last day where all kids take home a prize!
